Hang out on Governors Island
Governors Island may seem like the forgotten island of New York. However, during the summer there are many things you can do on the island. Tomorrow, on June 18th, there will be a Badminton match on the island, and everyone is invited. The boat is free and only takes seven minutes. For more information about the different events, please visit http://govisland.com/html/home/home.shtml
Shakespeare in the Park
There are many things to do outside during the summer in NY. According to Times Out, you can watch a free Shakespeare show in Central Park this weekend! The entrance is Central Park West and 81st Street. I often find myself reading Times Out because its a great magazine to read if you want to explore something different in your everyday life.

Jon Stewart and Trump's different pizza experience!
Funniest Norwegian Commercial Ever
Here is a funny commercial from Norway that I would like to share. The commercial is about a child who only likes to eat caviar for breakfast.
Soyuz 27 Travels to Space
On June 7, Mike Fossum, Sergei Volkov and Satoshi Furukawa traveled to a space in the new space craft named Soyuz TMA-02M. It is interesting how we (normal people) don't seem to care as much about the space as we did before. We don't even bother to turn on the TV when the space craft sends the new international crew to space. What made us more interested in apples iCloud than the real one?

Best Night sky
I visited nationalgeographic.com and found a great picture of the best night sky for 2011. The picture is taken in Island on March 10. I love the way the green aurora frames creates a ring over the island.
Apples new iCloud
To day I learned that Apple is coming you with a new service called iCloud. While reading about the new service, I began to wonder if iCloud really is a new service because it seems to work just like their "mobile me" service.
With iCloud, you all your data can be transported automatically to your other apple devises just like you can with a mobile me account. I think the only difference is that if you buy their new iOS5, the iCloud is free.
Perhaps the reason to why they have decided to change the name to iCloud as well as upgrade the version, and making it a free service, is because mobile me never really reached success in other countries. The new iCloud may wake more global attention now that it is a free service. Read more on http://www.apple.com/icloud/what-is.html

It's time for beach books- My favorite; "The Snowman" by Jo Nesbo
The summer is on it's way, and it's time to upgrade your book shelf with new and interesting novels. But which one to choose? If you are interested in reading crime stories, I recommend "The Snowman" by Jo Nesbo. The book is about a detective from Oslo who is searching for a serial killer who builds snowmen outside of his victims homes.
Time for Camping!
Although there is a lot of fun stuff to do in the city, you may want to consider leaving the big apple in hope to get some fresh air in your lungs. http://www.nysparks.com/camping/ is a great website that gives you various information about different campgrounds around NYC.

May 1 - The beginning of something better!
This weekend has been absolutely crazy! It all started with a great royal wedding in London were Kate and William made there promise to spend the rest of their life together. While walking down the aisle in her vintage-looking dress, Obama sat in a crowed room filled with other important people who hoped to finally catch the bad guy; Osama bin Laden. I can imagine the surprised look on Osama's face when the two US helicopters decided to come over for a short visit, and I am sure that he had no idea that his eyeballs were to fall out while he sat in in his luxurious villa, watching the royal wedding on his plasma TV in Pakistan.
Just Scandinavian
I stopped by this amazing furniture store named Just Scandinavian. I was happy to see scandinavian design that didn't have an IKEA sticker glued on their items, and I loved their displays, but the price tag made my eyes hurt. If you are interested in getting inspired, you can find them at 161 Hudson St # 1B or check out their website www.justscandinavian.com
